Atlantic Islands Cruise on P&O's Azura (3-17 February 2024)

So here we are back on P&O's Azura for a two-week cruise around what they describe as "Atlantic islands".

It covers five of the main Spanish Canary Islands - Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and La Palma as well as the Portuguese island of Madeira.

Have we been to all these places before?  Yes, we have, but there's nothing like a bit of winter sun and warmth in the depths of the UK winter to cheer us up.

This time we'll be on board with our Canadian friends, Marion and Mike, whom we met on a Caribbean cruise in 2019 as well as some of Marion's relatives from the Netherlands who will be joining us for six of the 14 days of the cruise.

For M&M (as I have heard them describe themselves) this is quite a leap of faith on their part, for while they have visited Madeira as a port stop on a transatlantic repositioning cruise, they have trusted us when we told them that the Canaries are well worth trying out as a new destination.
